![]() I realize that Prime95 is a brutal test but I figured that if it can pass a good amount of time with it then it should be pretty stable? Going to try and up vcore voltage to 1.30v and see what happens. I ran a second test from AIDA64 (FPU only) for 2 hours and 40 minutes and got a max temperature of 78 by MSI Afterburner.ĮDIT: tried to run Prime95 with smallest FFT and two workers failed and then a system crash a minute later. Then I ran AIDA64 (trial version, only CPU and FPU checked) for 15 minutes with no issues and a max temp of 69 as recorded by MSI afterburner. I first ran the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility for a general stability test and it passed a five minute stress test with a temp of 64 through IETU. ![]() Now my understanding is the posting from MSI was generally a bit heavy with the voltage estimations but considering they put 1.37ish for their recommendations for General overclocking should I be considering that this particular chip is a pretty decent OC? I thought generally running anything above 1.35v for extended periods of time is not a good idea. I have gone through a bunch of tests and found that I was getting a windows boot up that was able to actually go through startup programs at 5.0ghz at 1.29v. But Mode 3 is not an option for it so should I just set it to Mode 3 instead of auto? They said both to leave it in Auto Mode3. In addition, the MSI page was not entirely clear what to use for LLC. I think the MSI website recommended it be disabled but I don’t fully understand why. I don’t fully understand if Intel C-state should be off or on. I have been throughout a bunch of different postings and videos and just wanted to collect some knowledge and run it by other people so I can see how to test my settings. So just some info to get this out of the way.
